On April 23, the Lanzhou Institute of Chemical Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences held a docking exchange meeting with Sinopec Lubricant Company. Liu Weimin, academician of the CAS Member, chairman of the Academic Committee of Lanzhou Institute of Chemical Physics, Wang Qihua, secretary of the Institute's Party Committee, Zhou Feng, director of the Institute, and relevant leading experts from Sinopec Group and Sinopec Lubricant Company attended the meeting.

Lanzhou Institute of Chemical Physics welcomed the delegation led by Sinopec and highlighted the specific measures taken by the institute recently to seize the technological high ground. Experts from Sinopec introduced the current development status and related technical requirements of the domestic lubricating oil market.

The next step for both sides will focus on addressing common challenges that constrain industry and industrial development, and work together to tackle key issues in basic raw materials, products, standards, and application verification, in order to jointly build a full industry chain of lubricating oils and fats from basic research to industrial application.
