The Center for Excellence and Innovation in Brain Science and Intelligent Technology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, with the theme of "Brains Forge the Future", held public science day activities through online and offline combination of "Metacosmic Science Red Carpet", science and technology communication keynote report, the opening of key laboratory of brain cognition and brain like intelligence, brain science popularization experiment into the classroom, science popularization lectures of "Brains Forge the Future" and science popularization market.
On May 17th, Xu Ninglong, a researcher at the Brain Intelligence Excellence Center, gave a report on "The Biology of Brain Intelligence" at the "Brain Intelligence Future" science popularization lecture co hosted with the Shanghai branch. The Brain Intelligence Excellence Center showcased the science popularization projects "VR Brain Map" and "Brain Function Level Test" developed based on cutting-edge achievements at the Zhangjiang Science Hall Science Festival. On May 18th, Shi Yongyong, Deputy Director of the Brain Intelligence Excellence Center, and others participated in the "Metaverse Science Red Carpet" of the Shanghai Science and Technology Festival; Shi Yongyong delivered a keynote speech titled "Promoting High level Technology Self Reliance and Self Strengthening with High Quality Science Popularization" at the 3rd Shanghai Science and Technology Communication Conference.
This event opened the Key Laboratory of Brain Cognition and Brain like Intelligence, and set up six laboratory experiences, including "Small Ears and Big World", "Fish Pond Exploration", "Searching for the Forest in the Brain", "The Mystery of Brain Aging", "The Mystery of Electric Current in Cells", and "Gene Editing and Cloning". The Brain Intelligence Future Science Popularization Market has set up science popularization experiments such as EEG collaboration, EEG confrontation, eye control obstacle avoidance, brain function level testing, artificial hand illusion, zebrafish skirt hem, etc. The Brain Intelligence Excellence Center has prepared a science popularization lecture titled "Grasping Balance, Hearing Beauty", "Small Brain, Big Wisdom", "Brain Map", "Aging Exploration", "Building a Small Tunnel on Frog Eggs", and "The Application of Gene Editing and Cloning in Cell Therapy". The Brain Intelligence Excellence Center has customized five popular science experiments for students, including "EEG confrontation", "forest in the brain", "zebrafish anxiety action exploration", "nematodes and brain aging", and "multi sensory integration".
This activity stimulated the curiosity of teenagers and planted the seeds of science in the hearts of students.
