Hefei,January 7th(Xinhua)-The Anhui Key Laboratory of Quantum Computing Chips and the Anhui Quantum Computing Engineering Research Center jointly released China's third-generation independent superconducting quantum chip-"Wukong Chip"(Kuafu KF C72-300).

Jia Zhilong,Deputy Director of Anhui Provincial Key Laboratory of Quantum Computing Chips,introduced that"Wukong Chip"adopts a design scheme of 72 computational quantum bits,including 126 coupler quantum bits,with a total of 198 quantum bits.Its actual bit relaxation time T1 in operation is≥15.3μs.Decoherence time T2≥2.25μS.Compared with the previous two generations of quantum chips,the third-generation superconducting quantum chips have higher coherence time and significantly improved performance.

Kong Weicheng,Deputy Director of Anhui Quantum Computing Engineering Research Center,stated that the superconducting quantum chip has been run on China's third-generation independent superconducting quantum computer"Honyuan Wukong"and can achieve characteristics such as quantum superposition and entanglement.The"Original Wukong"quantum computer based on this quantum chip can issue and execute computing tasks of up to 200 quantum circuits at once,giving it a greater speed advantage compared to similar international quantum computers that can only issue and execute a single quantum circuit at the same time.

Jia Zhilong stated that the release of"Wukong Chip"and"Original Wukong"quantum computers is a new"entry ticket"for China's superconducting quantum computer manufacturing,which means that China's superconducting quantum computer manufacturing capacity has entered the medium scale stage from a small scale,and has the ability to independently produce certain medium-sized scalable quantum computer chips and systems.
The name"Wukong Xin"comes from Sun Wukong's"72 Variations",symbolizing his powerful computing power and potential.The quantum computer equipped with this quantum chip has universal programmable capabilities,and users can use it to develop quantum computing applications.(End)
