Science and Technology Daily,Beijing,January 16th(Hu Lanyue,reporter Fu Yifei)On January 16th,it was learned from China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation that the basic construction of the solar synchronous orbit business sub constellation of Tianmu 1 constellation has been completed,which can provide refined satellite meteorological detection data services for numerical weather forecasting systems and industry users.
The Tianmu 1 meteorological satellite was developed by the Aerospace Tianmu Company,a subsidiary of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation,and operates in a sun synchronous orbit at an altitude of 520 kilometers.Currently,all 23 operational satellites are operating stably.The latest four satellites launched on January 5th have been put into operational use,forming a solar synchronous orbit sub constellation with other in orbit satellites.
It is reported that Tianmu 1 constellation is the first commercial remote sensing detection constellation in China that is compatible with the four major navigation systems of China's Beidou,the United States GPS(Global Positioning System),Russia's GLONASS,and Europe's Galileo.The Tianmu 1 constellation can achieve integrated detection of GNSS-R(Global Navigation Satellite Inverted Signal),atmospheric occultation,and ionization occultation,completing all-weather and all-time integrated detection,and real-time acquisition of sea surface wind field,sea ice,soil moisture,as well as environmental factors such as atmospheric temperature,humidity,pressure,and ionospheric electron density profiles.
The working principle of Beidou/GNSS remote sensing detection technology is to install a global navigation satellite signal receiver on low orbit satellites to obtain navigation satellite signals refracted by the atmosphere,ionosphere,and reflected by the Earth's surface,and to reconstruct information such as the Earth's atmosphere,ionosphere,and sea surface.
In addition to common detection methods such as visible light,infrared,and microwave,Beidou/GNSS occultation detection technology is one of the important methods for meteorological satellite detection.The Fengyun-3 series of satellites are equipped with global navigation satellite occultation detectors,and related data products have been commercially applied in China's global numerical weather forecasting model,providing services to multiple international numerical forecasting institutions.The Tianmu 1 constellation will become a powerful supplement to the Fengyun satellite meteorological detection system.
At present,the Tianmu 1 constellation data has been pushed in real time to the China Meteorological Administration,completing the business access of the China Meteorological Administration's meteorological data products,and applied in the numerical weather forecast business system.In the future,the Aerospace Systems Company will also deploy low inclination sub constellations to strengthen the exploration of key areas and form a comprehensive three-dimensional detection capability for global coverage,mid low latitude encrypted atmosphere and ocean.
