Nanjing,January 18th(Wang Guozhen,Jin Huimin,Xu Shanshan)-At 22:27 on the 17th,the"Nanjing"and the China Youth Science Popularization Satellite(August 08),developed by teachers and students of Nanjing Mechanical and Electrical Vocational and Technical College,were successfully launched aboard the Tianzhou-7 cargo spacecraft.This is China's first satellite mainly developed by vocational college teachers and students.
The Nanjing spacecraft adopts a 6U cubic star design and is equipped with audio and video storage payloads,astronomical camera payloads,and optical communication payloads for"Our Sound in Space".It has the ability to actively change orbit and depart from orbit.

"This satellite can play,upload,and download audio,as well as take pictures and videos,with a resolution of 3.5 meters for Earth observation.Through the satellite's built-in onboard optical communication module,it can also guide students on the ground to conduct optical communication verification scientific experiments."Zhou Xiubin,Deputy Director of the China Aerospace Science and Technology International Exchange Center,introduced.
Nanjing Electromechanical Vocational and Technical College and China Aerospace Science and Technology International Exchange Center jointly established a talent joint training base,organized and carried out the"Let the Voice of Nanjing Vocational Education Explore Space"science popularization public welfare activity and satellite audio payload engineering practical training,and held the Jiangsu Provincial Selection Competition of the National Youth Aerospace Innovation Competition for two consecutive years.
At present,the school has also built the first ground receiving station and measurement and control hall for vocational colleges in China,equipped with satellite measurement and control display and control equipment.Zhou Qingli,Secretary of the Party Committee and Dean of Nanjing Electromechanical Vocational and Technical College,stated that the school will take this opportunity to further promote satellite science popularization work and light up the"starry sky dreams"of young people.(End)
