Researchers from top institutions such as the University of Cambridge in the United Kingdom and Johns Hopkins University in the United States have,for the first time,reconstructed the complete brain connectivity group of fruit fly larvae and created the first complete insect brain map,including all neurons and synapses.This is a milestone achievement in understanding how the brain processes sensory information flow and converts it into action.On March 10th,the journal Science published the research findings.

  The research team used high-resolution electron microscopy to scan thousands of brain slices of fruit fly larvae.With the assistance of computer analysis,the final generated map contained 3016 neurons and 548000 synapses.They also developed computational tools to identify possible information flow paths and different types of circuit patterns in insect brains.
  This is the first insect brain"map"in history and a milestone achievement in the field of neuroscience,bringing scientists closer to a true understanding of thinking mechanisms,providing support for future brain research,and potentially inspiring new machine learning architectures.
